The DisputeCreated by Michael BreslinThe Dispute is a new musical inspired by Marivaux's 1742 comedy La Dispute. In a fairytale world, a prince and princess enter a drag-out dispute: Who was first to be unfaithful in love, man or woman? A social experiment unfurls. Four young adults, raised in total isolation from birth, are released into the wild to test the origins of love, sex and betrayal. But when one subject's desire starts to outgrow the limits of the experiment, identities and alliances shift, and the whole thing goes dangerously––and gleefully––off the rails.
