Coming up next Monday, July 13, 4:00pm at Latham Library...As Old As Dirt!
Before the first dinosaurs roamed on top of the ground, earthworms roamed under the ground, munching their way along, turning sterile earth into rich soil for plants to grow in and feed the dinosaurs. Dr. Soule will explain how worms hatch out of eggs, and grow, [did you know they have 5 hearts?!], and create healthy soil. Then everyone will build, decorate, and stock their own personal worm farm with worms that like to live in captivity.
For over 30 years, Jacqueline has been offering lectures and community classes on gardening and ways to live lightly on this earth. She is a popular speaker with green industry professionals, garden groups, and in other venues.
This program is part of the Unearth a Story summer reading program at the Thetford Public Libraries. All ages welcome.
