Join us for a conversation with Laurie Santos, Chandrika and Ranjan Tandon Professor of Psychology at Yale University and is host of The Happiness Lab podcast. This program is part of the Rockefeller Center’s “Law and Democracy: The United States at 250” speaker series and part of the “Pursuit of Happiness” miniseries. The conversation will focus on current understanding of happiness, especially among young adults and on college campuses, and will draw on Dr. Santos’ expertise on the science of happiness and the ways in which our minds lie to us about what makes us happy. The conversation will be moderated by Professor Darrin McMahon, David W. Little Class of 1944 Professor of History and Chair of the Department of History. Professor McMahon is author of Happiness: A History (Atlantic Monthly Books, 2006). This program is being hosted by the Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Public Policy, the Ethics Institute, Dartmouth Dialogues, the Office of the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and the Office of the Associate Dean for the Social Sciences.
